Key member of our calibration team responsible for vendor-provided equipment calibration and metrology. Ensure calibration/metrology equipment are well maintained, functional and accurate. The successful candidate shall understand that the key priority of this organization is to provide the highest level of service to our internal customers.

Primary responsibilities for role:

  • Manage predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance efforts as required to improve calibration/metrology equipment availability

  • Support new equipment projects from engineering to manufacturing

  • Analyze/trend maintenance/calibration results using root cause analyses. Recommend/implement innovative, efficient and effective corrective actions resulting in stable and capable processes.

  • Support vendor negotiations, including purchasing of components, spare parts, equipment and service contracts

  • Ensure department’s compliance with regulatory requirements including: cGMP, OSHA, FDA, State/Local Fire, State/Local Building Codes, EPA, NEC and UL.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have good social and communication skills. Must have good knowledge of the calibration process and calibration requirements of NIST and ISO regulatory agencies. Basic computer skills required. Experience with Maximo CMMS preferred.


Associate of Science Degree (Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, or Biomedical Electronics Preferred) or equivalent.


3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 3+ years of experience in equipment calibration or metrology, and biomedical or pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP) experience required


Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
