Leads the Regional Supply Chain team in delivering quality products and services on time in a cost effective manner to all customers, internal and external. Provides leadership and direction to the regional management team and Staff on the execution of Global Supply Chain Management activities in support of regional objectives. Acts as onsite lead for establishment and delivery of all SCM services with an emphasis on regional growth. Monitors processes and products to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities for Role:

  • Manages regional supply chain team and processes to ensure high customer service to customers in the America region (which includes North and South America)

  • Supervises and develops a team of fifteen (15) regional SCM associates in Customer Service, Planning and Inventory Control functions.

  • Manages day-to-day supply chain activities

  • Manages Sales Order entry, coordination of the supply of inventory to customers, product billing, and maintenance of customer forecasts and inventories

  • Works effectively with peers in SCM including Planning and Inventory, Strategic Procurement where there is close communication regarding specific inventory levels, customer demand patterns, special material needs by customers, customer complaints, etc.

  • Develops, manages and improves key processes related to management of the supply chain (i.e. regional Sales & Operations Planning process, including forecast review)

  • Develops world class performance of regional Supply Chain function to support regional operations success and growth strategies

  • Drives regional SCM strategy in accordance with regional sales, marketing and customer needs; GSCM strategy; and overall business objectives

  • Leads development of business case for SCM service delivery to new markets and lead selection and qualification of new vendors in the region including 3PLs and logistics providers.

  • Works closely with Commercial organization to understand new products being introduced to the region and drive innovative logistics solutions that will successfully support.

  • Provides SCM leadership on all new and existing tender renewals as well as all regional geographic expansion activities

  • Maintains a strong culture of customer focus and continuous improvement

  • Ensures that the highest level of customer service is provided to both internal and external customers

  • Consistently delivers products in a timely manner to customers in compliance with department and corporate policies optimizing customer service, product quality, adherence to compliance requirements and minimizing cost

  • Maintain communication with key stakeholders (sales team, services team and senior management) and customers to understand implications of their requirements for supply chain operations

  • Deploy a structured methodology for the implementation and restructuring of the Supply Chain to achieve SCM excellence

  • Identify and implement improvements to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations Utilize IQP (Lean Six Sigma, VSM and other tools and techniques) to optimize SCM processes and execution of key activities

  • Manages world class performance of third party vendors to support business operations within the region

  • Provides day-to-day management of regional SCM vendors including 3PLs, logistics and critical materials vendors

  • Conducts vendor business reviews in accordance with vendor management SOPs

  • Develops/strengthens relationships with all regional material and service vendors

  • Exercises broad influence on global supply chain operations as a key member of the Global Supply Chain leadership team

  • Collaborates on, actively support and occasionally lead global initiatives as part of Global leadership team

  • Continuously seeks ways to contribute to greater global SCM performance, occasionally working on items outside of direct regional influence

  • Other relevant duties as assigned in support of Global or regional supply chain interests

Additional Responsibilites:

  • Overall performance of Supply Chain, including, but not limited to:

  • Delivery performance by category, scrap, inventory accuracy, inventory levels, shortages

  • Key project management (KPIs specific KPIs to each project)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Seasoned knowledge of supply chain and logistics concepts

  • Experience with third-party logistic providers and freight movement

  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Provides cost-saving solutions to logistics inefficiencies

  • Experience supervising and managing supply chain employees

Education:

  • BS Degree in Business or equivalent experience in Supply Chain / Customer Service

  • MBA or Masters in Logistics

Experience/Professional Requirement:

  • 10 years in supply chain/logistics or specifically related function

  • English. Local languages (including Spanish) are a benefit.

Equivalency:

Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or comptencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor's degreee plus 4 years experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
