Grifols continues to grow and with this growth comes opportunity. This position is an addition to the existing HR team and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of pre-employment activities with the US HR team.
Primary responsibilities for role include but are not limited to the following:
Supervises Grifols Pre-employment team and provides staff development, planning and defining performance goals; conducts regular one-on-one and team meetings with staff
Oversees daily pre-employment activities (new hire onboarding, background screening escalations, etc.). Ensures processes are followed appropriately and that service level agreements and performance metrics are met and reported
Second-level escalation point of contact for all onboarding and screening verification escalations. Works with management, other functions, and vendors as necessary to ensure timely resolution
Liaises with background screening provider on day-to-day screening verification issues. May work with other vendors as necessary to support the pre-employment and onboarding processes
Ensures timely processing of sign-on bonuses
Identifies and recommends areas for improvement within pre-employment to increase efficiency and compliance
Manages projects involving onboarding activities
Maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) with internal controls and supports SOX or other audit requirements and requests. Participates in monthly audits to ensure compliance (i.e. FCRA, waivers)
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience in HR and employee onboarding or employee relations. This should include working with the Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements for candidate background screening and supporting the I-9 process. Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
Advanced knowledge of applicant tracking or recruiting and onboarding systems, HR information systems such as ADP Enterprise HR or PeopleSoft, and other software programs such as MS Office, Excel and Word. SuccessFactors Recruiting and Onboarding experience is a plus. Advanced analytical, organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis. Ability to work across departments and with various levels. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
