Job Overview:

As a Field Sales Consultant, you will be the point of contact for all of the Hospital Division’s products – driving sales, engaging with current customers, prospecting new accounts and promoting our portfolio of pharmacy solutions in various hospitals and outpatient centers throughout your region.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Increase market share through prospecting, setting appointments, cultivating relationships, discovering business and clinical needs, presenting and providing solution demonstrations, overcoming objectives, and developing proposals / contracts.

  • Interface with prospective customers and existing customers to effectively map Grifols solutions to market needs within the assigned territory.

  • Drive revenue growth within the assigned territory by meeting with, and managing the relationships with key decision makers and those who influence decisions at hospitals and outpatient facilities.

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to meet established sales goals.

  • Consistently improve working knowledge of the compounding pharmacy, our product applications and competitive products.

  • Utilize for territory management.

  • Collaborate with non-sales team members to ensure optimal client satisfaction. Will assist in post-sales implementation support if needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Concentration in business, science or healthcare field is strongly preferred.

  • Must live in the territory which includes: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey.

  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare solutions sales experience is required. Managing a complex sales cycle is preferred. Pharmacy solutions sales, Electronic Healthcare Record software sales, healthcare IT sales, medical device sales, or capital equipment sales experience is highly preferred.

  • Must have healthcare industry knowledge, preferably with focus on pharmacy, medication delivery workflow, and / or Healthcare Information Technology.

  • Must be proactive and have demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives.

  • Must possess strong business acumen, along with the personal characteristics of professionalism, commitment to excellence, detail orientation and accountability.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines within a large geographical area.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels and manage relationships.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including effective presentation skills.

  • Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions.

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Work is performed in a Hospital Pharmacy setting. May come in contact with infectious or chemical agents and required to follow same precautions as Pharmacy staff, and as directed by customer’s institution. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
