Management of plasma planning and scheduling and the inventory control functions at the Grifols Plasma Logistics Center in order to provide Grifols Manufacturing and third party production plasma requirements in a timely and operationally efficient and cost effective manner based on inventory availability and other conditions.
Manages the Plasma Planning and Modeling function for the Grifols PLC.
Leads the performance of the inventory analysis of aging and status of all types of plasma to generate monthly inventory projections.
Manages the modeling of available plasma into pools to supply manufacturing according to demand projections and direct the creation of PU's and PL's to support the manufacturing plant customers (GT, GB & IG).
Works closely with the other functions within the supply chain teams at the manufacturing sites to review requirements and communicate schedule confirmations/modifications matching plasma types an specifications
Assist with research that substantiates disposition of plasma inventory in blocked inventory status to either be dispositioned for manufacturing use, downgraded to diagnostic grade or write-off.
Analyzes inventory positions by plasma type versus targets.
Partners with the Quality and Operations functions at the PLC to manage inventory on-hold, obsolete, expired and slow moving plasma and act to research and seek resolution as a SME for all inventory issues.
Manages logistics relationship with counterparts at the other Plasma Logistics Center.
Analyzes inventory and prepares production plans and schedules to meet Grifols Manufacturing, third party manufacturers and sales customer plasma requirements.
Responsible for internal direct communication and coordination with plasma sales manufacturing production planning, finance, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, plasma donor centers and plasma administration.
Responsible for external communications with transportation providers, third-party plasma suppliers, plasma sales customers, etc.
Manages computerized inventory planning and scheduling system control method and records.
Responsible for plasma inventory reporting, accountability, and traceability information data.
Directly manages staff of Production Planning /Inventory Control. Lead in the development of the Planning and Inventory Control staff to support departmental objectives and personal /professional growth.
Report clearly and effectively through email, power point slides, etc.
Responsible for continual initiation, upgrade and review of department Manufacturing Standard Practices (MSPs) and cGMP compliance and training.
Other special projects as assigned to support department and company objectives
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations/Supply
5 - 10 years of experience in supply chain/operations/business planning
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Thorough knowledge of inventory control and planning systems (ex. SGP, SAP) as well as having a good understanding of the plasma process' and operations. A sound understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals in process efficiencies and business and financial controls with an understanding of operational metrics and analytical KPIs.
Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, access or Discoverer; mainframe ex. DMS, and inventory control systems such as SAP)
Solid problem solving skills are critical, ability to manage unforeseen events and follow through to resolution
Ability to work well within a team made up of both internal and external partners and professionals
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Team leadership and problem resolution skills
