The Manufacturing Specialist performs functions related to document issuance, document review, inventory management , data entry and data collection. The Manufacturing Specialist will work closely with shift Supervisor and Coordinator to ensure all required documentation is readily available, training requirements are maintained and provide reports when necessary.

Primary responsibilities for role:

  • Orders/obtains dcouments required to produce all GTI Manufactured products.

  • Reconciles bill of material (BOM) for each lot processed throug manufacturing

  • Orders required commotities for production runs based on production schedule.

  • Performs physical inventory with Accounting department as required.

  • Performs tasks related to document issuance (Runbooks) and SAP inventory controls.

  • Maintains and reviews logbooks

  • Transfers completed production documents to Quality Assurance Product Release (QAPR) for review/archive.

  • Reviews documentation and enters production data into Bioman.

  • Coordinates/performs cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories

  • Coordinates product transfer from manufacturing to Packaging and completes requried transactions in MFG/PRO.

  • Assists with oversight of Aseptic Filling Technician training qualifications.

  • Maintain departmental in-process spreadsheets for management review as required.

  • Assist on the production fill line in a minimum role of a Technician II as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Powerpoint and Excel, mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, ability to work in a team environment and exercise good judgement while working independently.


High school diploma or equivalent plus Bioworks certificate or high school diploma or equivalent plus at least 1 year of experience in a regulated environment (i.e. FDS, USDA, NRC)


Certified to operate in the fill room and able to operate aseptic fill environment equipment such as the fill machine and ALUS independently. In addition, must maintain all training requirements for the Aseptic Filling Tech II level


Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires an Associate's degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.
