Biomat USA, Inc. Material Handling Associate Operator (1st shift) in Clayton, North Carolina

1st shift

Monday - Friday

5:00am to 1:30pm

This candidate will be required to work in warehouse areas, refrigerated areas and in freezers with temperatures of -30c or colder. The job requires the candidate to continually handle and move boxes and pallets both manually and with handling equipment. This candidate will be expected to be able to work and complete assigned tasks on their own without constant supervision while following established procedures.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. repeatedly

  2. Ability to work in extreme temperatures of -30C or colder

  3. Ability to follow written procedures

  4. Ability to use barcode readers

  5. Capable of performing basic computer skills

  6. Responsible for department housekeeping

  7. Ability to receive and separate incoming plasma

  8. Ability to identify and separate Special plasma

  9. Ability to pull freezer work orders and alerts

  10. Ability to work in a fast-pace environment when servicing Classification

  11. Able to identify rejected plasma

  12. Ability to stage freezer work orders and alerts

  13. Able to work with minimum supervision and follow detailed directions

  14. Ability to pull freezer work orders and stage alerts

  15. Able to perform weekly cycle counts

  16. Ability to load production runs and sales

  17. Ability to prepare plasma for distribution by Air, Land, and Sea

  18. Ability to receive customer samples and create sample reception form

  19. Ability to receive Ocean container

  20. Ability to prepare and complete Plasma Lot documentation

  21. Ability to use forklift to store plasma in freezer using automated system

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: Typically requires no previous related experience.

  1. Possess good verbal and written communication skills

  2. Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).

  3. To be able to multi task in warehouse environment.

  4. Possess good organization skills

EQUIVALENCY:

  • Depending on the area of assignment, directly-related experience or a combination of directly-related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level typically requires an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience, an equivalent could include 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Knowledge of cGMP

  2. Warehouse experience and lift truck certified
