Hours 2:00 pm - 12:30 am (Monday- Thursday)
Operator will assist in processing the plasma receipt and verification efficiently, effectively and accurately. The operator will help maintain production area at a level that meets or exceeds cGMP standards for quality and safety for 2.6 million liters of plasma per year. The operator will perform all functions associated with the electronic verification of all units/cases of raw plasma to be processed in manufacturing pools at the Clayton or 3rd party facilities.
Major tasks of position include but are not limited to:
Electronically verify all units of plasma that are to be assigned to internal or 3rd party processed manufacturing plasma lots. This is to be done by using radio frequency technology to scan each unit of plasma
Research and resolve a discrepancy that is observed during the Plasma Lot Consolidation process.
Identify, remove, destroy, and document all units of raw plasma that have been previously identified as discrepant.
Assemble and label all skids of raw plasma that are verified for each manufacturing plasma lot. Each plasma lot contains approximately 550 containers that must be placed on skids manually; stretch wrapped, and labeled with PU or Plasma Lot numbers to provide traceability.
Sign for every case received, complete all associated paperwork and RF scan to correct dynamic Bin.
Troubleshoot any discrepancies between paperwork and physical cases received.
Operate various pieces of material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, straddle stackers) to maneuver material within the designated work areas.
Perform housekeeping within assigned work area and discard bio-hazardous waste and debris in a manner that is compliant with waste handling procedures.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent
Prior use of SGP for Plasma Operations with regard to Material Handling functionality is preferred for this position.
Past or present work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is required.
Knowledge of math rounding rules and use of decimals is required.
Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team.
Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
Requires work in cold (+5) environment and occasional (-30) environment.
Immunizations are required.
Strong preference will be given to applicants that possess experience with the following: 1) SGP Plasma Management System and knowledge of the SGP SOP’s. 2) The use of RFT scanners using the SGP application.
This position requires that applicants not be afraid of heights. As part of the interview process you will be required to physically climb a 90 foot vertical ladder while wearing a safety harness.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, hand tools and moving machinery. Exposure to high levels of noise and to extreme cold below 32*. Occasional entry into confined spaces requiring kneeling and squatting. Operates forklifts, tractors and power equipment. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, safety shoes, gloves and garments. Work is performed standing and walking for 4-6 hours per day. Bending and twisting neck and waist for 4-6 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects. Frequent foot movement. Frequent moderate lifting and carrying of 15-44lbs. Frequent heavy lifting and carrying of 45lbs. with a maximum lift of 50lbs. Occasionally reaches above and below shoulder height. Hearing acuity essential. Color perception/discrimination, depth perception and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Frequently performs simple and routine tasks that vary little each day by following a set of written or oral instructions/procedures.
