Summer Intern: Performance Development - This position will be located in Clayton, NC.


In this position, the student will be responsible for:

Developing an online training program for internal Grifols employees.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Good knowledge of adult educational learning theories and be able to follow the ADDIE model for adult learning.

  • Good knowledge of Storyline 2, Articulate Suite, Snag-It and graphic editing programs (Photoshop or Fireworks), XML, SCORM and Captivate.

  • Knowledge of audio and video editing concepts and tools (Audacity and Corel).

  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, and narration tools.

  • Strong presentation skills and management of group dynamics.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with various groups of employees.

  • Ability to continuously learn and develop.

  • Ability to maintain customer focus and achieve learning goals.

  • Miscellaneous data management projects within the Company’s LMS

  • Should possess the ability to keep neat, accurate and complete records, preferably experienced in working with training databases or SAP.

  • Must be proactive, results oriented, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle an ever changing, fast paced critical work environment.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


  • Students must be currently enrolled in at least a 4 year degree program directly related to the position.

  • Type of degree in progress: Instructional Design, Education, Communication or related field

  • Students must currently have a 3.0 or higher GPA.

  • Skills sets/knowledge: design experience or school projects creating multimedia for development of on-line training is preferred.

Competency in Microsoft software, including Word and Excel, and computer databases
