This newly developed role will be an important member of the Consumer Marketing and Patient Education Marketing team, mostly focused on the pulmonary division to help the alpha-1 franchise achieve its business objectives.

This individual will manage and execute tactical marketing programs and corresponding budgets and provide support at the direction of the consumer/patient marketing lead during the development of new projects and initiatives.

Key initiatives will support a consumer genetic testing program and Prolastin-C Liquid. The person must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines and work across departments and global partners.

Competences Skillsets/Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Baseline marketing acumen and digital marketing experience (ideally consumer/patient)

  • Strong project management and ability to prioritize multiple tactics through execution and on budget

  • Requirements include managing timelines, budgeting , taking projects through the Medical, Legal, Regulatory review process, and working with multiple partners (internal and external)

  • Can execute, with support, a strategic marketing tactical plan in support of a product launch

  • Ensures all promotional materials align to strategy ; pulls through the campaign, customer insight, and messaging across tactics

  • Has experience with or exposure to the marketing tools used to develop brand positioning, customer journey, segmentation, belief map, project briefs, etc.

  • Able to apply knowledge of brand strategy and insights to evolve/advance project briefs and tactics

  • Develop project briefs and relevant KPIs across projects

  • Actively contributes the data analysis and helps to identify and communicate market drivers & barriers to further refine strategy and execution

  • Participates in or can lead the tactical planning process and is familiar with the key implementation components including budget

  • Work with advocacy groups on appropriate tactics to support the patient

  • Partner with HCP marketing t eam on salesforce initiatives

  • Work with an agency to ensure timely, on budget and on strategy deliverables

  • Identify, analyze, and integrate business intelligence including changes in market trends, competition, product development and new product releases, and translate these into actionable commercial insights to inform market development

  • Participate in key strategy discussions with marketing team members as well as market research development and execution

  • Learn, understand and communicate baseline genetic testing i nformation

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing or Business Sciences or Liberal Arts. MBA or graduate business work a plus

  • Minimum of 10 years work experience with 2 years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience, OR 5 or more years healthcare marketing, brand advertising or pharmaceutical market research experience

  • Requires an understanding of marketing tactics and measuring performance and has demonstrated strong business/project performance in their role(s)

  • Strong market analysis and analytical skills

  • Strong Project management, computer literacy (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), and reporting,

  • Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic contributor, able to build relationships and work well with a cross-functional/matrix team

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and business acumen

  • Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.  Example:  If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years’ experience, an equivalency could include an Associate's degree with 5 years of experience in a related field

Work is performed in an office environment (flexible remote environment – 2 days remote/week) with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.  Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck.  Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels within the United States.  Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
