Grifols North America Bioscience Commercial Operations department is looking for an experienced Commercial Data Analyst dedicated to the analytical and operational support of our Marketing teams. The analyst will maintain reports and analysis that will support short and long term product strategic plan objectives. The role will work closely with their Marketing customers to analyze business problems, identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and assist in the implementation of solutions to complex business problems. This individual will perform routine and ad-hoc analysis to support the Strategic Plans of the company. In order to be effective, the analyst will be expected to gain an in-depth understanding of the Grifols product portfolio, internal and 3rd party data sets, and be able to work with these data sets to produce business intelligence and strategic insights that influence marketing strategies and tactics. Additional responsibilities for a Commercial Data Analyst include advanced analytical support and contributing to the to the design, maintenance and effectiveness of the company's business intelligence tool (as needed).
Work closely with clients and teammates to deliver standard and ad-hoc reports, and proactively investigate disparate or linked data bases for actionable insights to help inform or shape marketing strategy. This analyst will utilize new technologies and query methods to proactively create new reports/dashboards/views of critical data.
Partner with marketing customers and internal teammates to ensure data integrity from multiple sources and suppliers. This analyst will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all utilized data, and the ability to convey and consult on the relevance and importance of each source and metric along with associated caveats.
Integrate multiple data sources to produce a comprehensive view of the product/market environment.
Provide analytical support for key marketing initiatives such as product launches, physician/account segmentation and targeting, and annual product strategic plans (PSPs) and have the experience and knowledge to challenge assumptions/conclusions to ensure the integrity of the final product. The analyst will be a recognized integral consultant to the Marketing teams and involved in all key discussions & research.
Demonstrate the proven ability to provide a holistic analysis of the effectiveness and ROI of marketing initiatives and campaigns including multi-channel approaches.
Utilize advanced techniques (modeling, forecasting, regressions, etc) to produce a comprehensive view of the issue under investigation and demonstrate the ability to utilize multiple tools (BI, mapping, etc) to analyze and present data & results.
Work with marketing clients to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications to be implemented in a standard report, ad hoc report, or BI dashboard and proactively suggest new views or deliverables to expedite understanding & learning.
Proven ability to quickly learn and adhere to business processes and best practices, suggest improvements to existing protocols where appropriate and implement & document new standards.
Train others on the use of BI reports and tools for decision making and demonstrate the ability to convey complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms to all levels of the organization
Support and refine (as needed) Marketing Reports for each Grifols Therapeutic Team (Immunology/Neurology, Pulmonary, Hematology, Specialty) – dynamic scorecards for each team with key metrics.
Coordinate with colleagues to prepare reviews (upon request) for all NA Commercial Meetings.

Solution-oriented – expertise in requirements gathering/solution delivery methodologies and previous experience with BI software or reporting packages (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, SAP BO, etc.). Must be proficient in Excel, including advanced functions, features, pivot tables, look ups, etc.
The candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree or higher.
The candidate shall have a proven track record and 8+ years of experience in an analytical capacity, consulting, and/or management reporting with 2+ years in life sciences preferred. A commercial analysis background with experience in supporting life sciences sales and/or marketing teams is ideal. Experience with QlikView, Alignstar, SQL and Salesforce.com is preferred. Advanced training in data management practices and data modeling techniques is preferred for an Analyst III level. Experience with predictive analytics and forecasting is preferred. The ability to travel up to 10% should be expected.
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
