Summary:

Leads and manages a broad range of processes and analytics that provides strategic direction for the North American Diagnostic Sales Team. Provides leadership in support of enability full functionality for the North American CRM tools and marketing analytics to provide real time forecasts in support of a high performing diverse sales team. Provides analysis and strategic direction using analytical processes to manage the sales incentive compensation plans and volume forecasting strategies. Provides strategies to enable the sales teams to maximize organizational engagement, effectiveness and efficiencies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partners with Sales leadership to lead the implementation of goals and appropriate metrics to achieve North American and regional forecasts.

  • Oversight and management of all customer contracts, centralized point of contact for questions and issue resolution.

  • Responsible for contract template optimization and contiunous improvement.

  • Update contract list, distribute sales stack ranking and contract compliance.

  • Implements and manages sales incentive compensation programs and commissions for reporting and payments on internal payrolls.

  • Montly controlling of customer volume consumptions against contractual commitments.

  • Montly Sales target Achievements vs budget for the North American commercial operations.

  • Analytical reporting on CRM (Salesforce) for montly data review and forecasting.

  • Collaborates cross functionally to leverage centers of excellence to maximize CRM functionality and build analytical models.

  • Leads the CRM management, identifying scope while integrating new commercial technologies.

  • Creates and manages the North American metrics to facilitate both short and long range strategies.

  • Collaborate on CRM (Salesforce) improvement projects, dashboards and managed reports.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on configuring commercial agreements, quotations and sales reports.

  • Oversight and management of sales territories and revenue assignments.

  • Partner with internal finance department to support SOX compliance audits.

  • Support the monthly, quarterly and annual commercial review reports and associated presentation.

Education:

BS in life sciences or marketing, MBA preferred

Experience:

Typically 10 years in life science commercial expertise; expertise in clinical diagnostics, blood test diagnostics preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing complex forecasting tools for new and existing product lines.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing sales incentive plans for a North American sales team.

  • Expertise in assessing, developing and implementing multiple complex commercial operations.

  • Expert in managing databases.

  • Expertise in project and portfolio management leadership.

  • Exceptional negotiating/influencing, communication, presentation skills with comfort communicating with senior executives.

  • Expertise with mainstream computer infrastructures and analytics tools.

  • Ability to manage in an ever changing environment by effectively overcoming obstacles with tenacity and resilience to reach successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrated success in creating new and different ways to develop client solutions.

Equivalency:

Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
