As a Pharmacy Solutions Sales Representative, you will be the point of contact for all of the Hospital Division’s products – driving sales, supporting current customers, prospecting new accounts and promoting our portfolio of pharmacy solutions in various hospitals and cancer centers throughout your region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Interface with customers to maintain sales, increase sales and introduce new products and equipment in the assigned territory.

  2. Develop area business plans to meet established sales goals.

  3. Perform product presentations, product demonstrations and after sales education to the customer on the devices, equipment and system use.

  4. Meet with key Pharmacy Staff at hospitals and cancer centers, as well as key staff members of Administration, Materials Management, Facilities, Engineering and Nursing to influence decision making and drive the sales of Grifols products and pharmacy solutions.

  5. Consistently improve working knowledge of the compounding pharmacy, our product applications and competitive products.

  6. Provide accurate reporting to sales management via activity reports, planned agendas, account information via and updated area business plans.

  7. Provide market information to internal marketing staff including competitive information, market trends, and customer special requests.

  8. Assist Technical Services with equipment installations and training where requested.

  9. Provide customer training on all products and administer user surveys and questionnaires.

  10. Work with Grifols Engineering, Technical Services, and Customer Service to satisfy customer requests.

  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  1. Bachelor’s degree required. Concentration in science or healthcare field is strongly preferred; advanced degree preferred.

  2. Must live in the territory which includes: Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

  3. At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience calling on hospitals or cancer center pharmacies is required. Pharmacy solutions or medical device sales / capital equipment sales experience is highly preferred.

  4. Documented consistent above-average performance in prior pharmaceutical or medical device sales position.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.

  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Must be proactive and results oriented.

  8. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks / priorities.

  9. Valid driver’s license. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  10. Ability to lift /move up to 25 pounds.

  11. Ability to stand for extended periods - up to four (4) hours at a time.
