Position Overview:

Key member of the Global Marketing Leadership team, with the overall responsibility for all global customer marketing activities. Direct line leadership of Marketing Directors responsible for all downstream marketing activities of the Commercial Regions. Manage overall team of > 15 employees. associates), 75% of these associates are located Globally and in countries outside the region of the associate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Full accountability for all diagnostics global customer marketing (downstream marketing)

  • Manages marketing directors and their teams in each commercial region (N. Am, EMEA, LatAm and APAC)

  • Responsible for all global customer facing marketing activities

  • Customer facing marketing activities include creating sales collateral, launching new products in all commercial regions, and developing marketing programs to drive revenue growth on a global basis

  • Develops global programs to support sales growth in all commercial region

  • As the leader global customer marketing, VP/Snr Director will coordinate efforts with each of the Regional Marketing Directors, and create an environment of "Best Practices" sharing on a global basis

  • Works within the marketing and commercial teams to develop market strategies, and to develop sales collateral to support those strategies

  • Is a business partner with the marketing communications teams

  • As the leader of the customer marketing team, works collaboratively and provides feedback to the Product Marketing (upstream) Team to define customer requirements for future products

  • Identifies new strategic opportunities to grow Grifols Diagnostic business

  • Leads to efforts to develop and execute on regional marketing plans

  • Effectively develops team members to rise to the next level within their career

  • Directs the development and management of cost center budgets, to drive strategic initiatives

  • Attracts, develops and retains a motivated, competent marketing staff and prepare staff to meet the current and future needs of the business

  • Communicates regularly with other departments to align objectives and ensure that Grifols is meeting the customers' current and future needs

  • Develops metrics for success, sharing best practice information across regions

  • Strong operational skills a must, including demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams to help achieve Global downstream marketing initiatives

  • Ownership of and follow through on required activities is essential

  • Key business partner between Regional Sales Vice Presidents and Marketing function

Skills/Qualifications/Education Requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelors degree in the Life Sciences or Business; MBA or Masters degree in Marketing discipline preferred

  • Minimum of Experience/Professional/Technical requirement:

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in sales/marketing

  • Proven capability in marketing, including working with outside agencies, market research organizations and deliver clear output to management

  • Demonstrated experience in managing >5 people, and managing directors/managers, Proven ability to work cross-culturally, and ability to effectively meet objectives in cultures other than their own.

  • Demonstrated experience in development of tactical and strategic plans, forecasting, market strategy, segmentation, branding, advertising, product design, market research, lifecycle management, competitive benchmarking, value propositions, pricing and go to market plans.

  • The strategic capability, vision, and imagination to spot emerging trends early, think “outside the box”, in potential new product and business opportunities and inspire respect from the commercial/R&D/Bb&D teams

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the external resources, such as blood centers, hospitals, KOLs, executives, 3rd party companies, and collaborators.

  • Excellent oral and written skills communication

  • Demonstrate ability to work with and lead cross functional team’s

  • Demonstrate high level of organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively interface with all levels of the organization and key diagnostic partners.

  • Resourceful and able to work in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
