Teaching and instructing in higher education; in-depth knowledge and understanding of systems and procedures (including knowledge exchange); effective and successful management of projects and team leadership; strategic planning and leadership; financial and budget management and planning; productive engagement with external bodies; possess strong strategic leadership skills; develop resources for plan development.

  • Daily operational management and upkeep to include course preparation, sound leadership and supervision of staff, management of budgeted expenses to ensure proper allocation of expenses, tracking attendance and activities to meet targets and facilities upkeep.

  • Completes strategic department reports related to facility usage, attendance statistics, and other forecasts as requested.

  • Develops, delivers and manages dynamic, instructionally sound training courses and curriculum materials following adult learning theories to a variety of audiences.

  • Creates marketing tools for annual course catalog, calendars and schedules, updates to website and newsletter communications.

  • Communicates with field and corporate personnel through marketing and advertising for classroom offerings, registration requirements, and course follow up activities as needed.

  • Develops resourcing streams for plan development.

  • Acts as an advocate to students, mentors and develops adjunct instructors.

  • Ensures compliance of all course/program training materials and staff trainings to ACCET, accrediting foundation guidelines.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or related field.

  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of training and development experience, including experience managing a staff.

  • Expert knowledge of adult learning theory. Expert skills in MS office. Strong skills with audio video equipment for presentations including TV, VCR, LCD projector with laptop. Advanced facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis. Ability to function in a demanding environment. Ability to collaborate with a variety of personnel levels and functional groups. Ability to demonstrate practical applications and flexibility in adapting programs and services to meet specific customer requirements. Solid organizational skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of professionals in a learning environment.

  • Occupational Demands Form # 3: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Periodically drives to site locations and travels within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
