Job Summary:

The Manager, Inventory Control directs Supply Chain Operations / Logistics, inclusive of Warehouse, Raw Materials, Finished Goods Distribution, Transportation, Training, and the management / safeguarding of inventory for Grifols.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Directs the distribution and general warehouse activities inclusive of receipt and storage of all incoming raw materials, components and supplies. Ensures all raw materials and finish goods are stored in a compliant manner and that the appropriate controls are in place to effectively protect against loss and inventory discrepancies. Picks, packs and ships all domestic and international shipments within guidelines and regulations.

  • Executes the distribution strategy through the selection, contract management and coordination of freight forwarders and carriers of Grifols products and other materials. Provides expertise in this area assuring product integrity by enabling the acceptance and approval of shipping guidelines, economical and safe cold chain solutions and contingency procedures by coordinating and influencing Quality Operations (QO), Compliance, Validation, Customer Service and Sales personnel in the decision process.

  • Monitors changes to regulatory and compliance requirements and oversees the development and execution of cold chain strategies to ensure that all compliance standards and customer requirements are met.

  • Maintains and leads the execution of the Clayton Site Material Management strategy inclusive of the planned upgrade to existing facilities and the selection to up fit for additional warehouse space.

  • Leads the supply chain operations activities for the GTI Serialization Program. The program is tasked to identify the appropriate strategy and implement serialization into Grifols global supply chain.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred. APCICS Certification preferred.

  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience, including experience managing a staff in a cGMP environment. Project or technical leadership experience required. Supervisory or management experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics, distribution, and cold chain solutions.

  • Knowledge of supply chain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and compliance requirements for biopharmaceutical processes.

  • Excellent and demonstrated project management skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work cross functionally and with a wide variety of internal and external partners.

  • Aligns with corporate strategic vision to provide vision, strategic direction, and leadership. Builds broad support and/or persuades others in order to influence important outcomes. Encourages informed risk-taking and acts a catalyst for innovation within the company. Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met, leveraging knowledge of competitive advantage and profit drivers. Works on complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of situations

  • Managers a single or multiple departments and may do so through subordinate managers who have budgetary and business objective accountability. Guides managers and staff to achieve tactical and strategic goals. Typically reports to a Corporate or Division Executive.

  • Excellent strategic and tactical decision-maker. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) and may jeopardize overall business activities.

  • Regularly interacts with cross-functional senior management and all EMT members. Builds business partnership with peers, customers, and vendors. Coordinates resources for ongoing projects across business groups. Addresses and resolves cross-team issues.

  • Set goals and budgets consistent with company financial practices and standards. Develops cost/benefit analyses for major expenditures. Lead company-wide projects and processes that have significant financial implications. Significant spending authority includes purchases requisitions, expense reports and negotiations of multi-million dollar transactions
