Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc Operations Supervisor- Interstate Blood and Plasma - Madison - Henry in Madison, Wisconsin

This position is responsible for performing and monitoring the activities of and overseeing the employees in

the area in which s/he is supervisor in an automated Source Plasma Center.



  • Performs the functions of the position for which s/he is a supervisor as defined below:

  • Front Supervisor - trained as a Donor Processor

  • Floor Supervisor - trained as a Phlebotomist

  • Back Supervisor - trained as Plasma Processor and in Shipping/Receiving

  • Supports the staff in the area with day-to-day activities and answers questions, concerns, and/or other


  • Monitors the activities and practices of the employee(s) in the assigned area for compliance with IBBI

procedures and policies.

  • Follows and enforces all safety procedures.

  • Corrects employees, as necessary, and identifies re-training needs.

  • Maintains donor and product flow, acts immediately to resolve issues and/or notifies management.

  • Assists with troubleshooting and/or implementing corrective action, as necessary.


  • Performs other duties as may be required/assigned. (Frequently)

  • Interacts with vendors, job applicants, competitive centers, and auditors. (Infrequently)

  • Interacts with other Interstate centers and with Corporate personnel. (Infrequently)


  • A Supervisor must meet the Qualification/Experience requirements of the primary job for which s/he is a


  • Must have proven to be proficient in performing all of the activities of, and be currently certified in the

position s/he supervises.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Reaching Removes supplies from shelves, performs various job duties

Climbing Removes supplies from shelves

Bending/Stooping/Lifting Stocks supplies and softgoods, performs filing, lifts boxes

Standing Observes employees for SOP compliance

Walking Observes employees for SOP compliance

Hand/Wrist Use Documents information in ePro, perform various job duties

Observing/Seeing color Observes employees for SOP compliance

Hearing/Listening Listens to employees concerns, listens to donors concerns

Talking/Communicating Explains and enforces employee policies, oversees breaks/lunches

Patience Demonstrates patience when working with employees and donors

Time Management Keeps the donor and product flow consistent

Focusing Concentrates on the task at hand, minimizes distractions

Reading SOPs, Job Aids, Forms, Company policies, other documentation

  • Ability to read and understand documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, procedure manuals, correspondence.

  • Ability to write short correspondence.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural instructions.

  • Ability to speak, answer questions, and/or present information in small groups.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from regional managers, employees,

suppliers, external customers, and Corporate personnel.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to apply instruction given in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in complex situations.

  • Daily attendance is required.
