Position Overview:
As the Director of Consumer Marketing for the US Pulmonology franchise, you will be accountable for developing and execution of the strategic and tactical plans for the promoted pulmonology (alpha-1) brand, Prolastin-C liquid as well as the genetic health risk program, AlphaID At Home. The chosen candidate for this role will be responsible for ensuring timely execution, measurement and refinement of strategies and tactics across external and internal teams and stakeholders. They will also be responsible for the leadership and development of the consumer marketing team for pulmonology. Candidate should have leadership skills, a solid strategic marketing foundation, be an agile self-starter, problem solver, have a passion for ensuring marketing campaigns are patient-centered, competitive, and have an innate drive to be innovative in marketing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Define, develop, and manage marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics to support brand’s financial targets for Pulmonology.
Lead creative development and execution of marketing activities to achieve campaign objectives. Stimulate creativity and innovative thinking for consumer promotion and recommend changes to better serve customer, address need gaps and maximum sales.
Ensures the development and pull-through of effective marketing strategies and programs by providing analytical and strategic leadership.
Lead & manage partner agency relationships, driving/addressing performance, workflow, and related expense budgets.
Facilitate development and execution of branded/unbranded campaigns and tactics with agencies using insights via market research
Lead regulatory, legal, medical promotional review process, as well as special copy approval needs through our governance process including coaching marketing managers and associates to increase their capabilities for promotional review.
Effectively lead internal cross-functional teams, including digital marketing teams, Promotional Review teams, external partners, and project teams to achieve maximum results that drive the business while maintaining a strong patient focus.
Partner cross-functionally and with external partners to define KPIs and analyze performance of key commercial programs on an ongoing basis.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations partners (digital team, agency partners, customer support, promotional review process) to ensure marketing tactics are aligned and delivered to market on time.
Work closely with Senior Director and Market Research counterpart to ensure alignment of objectives and achievement of objectives. Ideally, identifying new ways to elevate and differentiate pulmonology brands in a competitive marketplace.
Attract, develop and retain a motivated, competent marketing team and prepare staff to meet the current and future needs of the business. Manage, guide, and develop marketing personnel on team to improve capabilities and develop as leaders within the organization.
Skills/Qualifications/Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in consumer marketing within the pharmaceutical/plasma industry. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in marketing. Prefer at least 2 years of management experience. If no management experience, must be able to demonstrate extensive cross-functional leadership in previous roles.
Analytical skills including the ability to understand drivers of performance, synthesize and accurately draw conclusions from data and apply results of market research to inform agile decision making.
Project management experience with proven ability to handle and lead multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing and leading external agencies or teams in implementing projects including copy approval experience
Extensive experience in consumer marketing communications channels; SEO/SEM, online digital media, social media, and website development/revisions.
Individual needs to be self-starter with ability to foster and build relationships internally and externally across wide range of customers and stakeholders.
Strong matrix collaboration and organizational awareness to remove barriers and drive change with ability to build relationships quickly and effectively to achieve goals.
Ability to comprehend, summarize, and communicate/present issues in an effective leadership style.
Excellent communicator; both oral and written.

Work is performed in an office environment (flexible remote environment – 2 days remote/week) with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day.
