The Corporate Travel Agent assess employee traveler needs to help them make the best possible travel arrangements. Specializes in business travel to make appropriate travel arrangements. Arranges travel for groups as well as travel to attend company meetings, conventions and/or exhibits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Provides advice on destinations and finds the best possible route and price.

  2. Makes arrangements for transportation, hotel accommodations, car rentals, transfers and other means of travel (e.g. train, ferry).

  3. Consults published and computer-based sources for information on departure and arrival times, fares, and hotel ratings and accommodations.

  4. Communicates travel information to employees and works out any scheduling problems.

  5. Assert compliance with the corporate travel policy.

  6. Process travel requests from different countries worldwide, works with different GDS accesses and ticketing rules depending on each country.

  7. Educates employees and provides customer support on using company travel tools and resources.

  8. Update information on travelers and company profiles in Amadeus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. High school diploma or GED required.

  2. Certification with Amadeus, ARC/IATA training and knowledge preferred.

  3. Strong knowledge of the Travel industry is required.

  4. Requires 2 years of related experience in the travel / customer service industry.

  5. Ability to work within deadlines in a fast pace environment.

  6. Ability to multi-task.

  7. Must have strong attention to detail.

  8. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

  9. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

  10. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  11. Takes ownership and is proactive.

  12. Positive approach to problem solving.

  13. Excellent customer service and a contagious enthusiasm.

  14. Advance computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge is required.


Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs.
