The Government Pricing Manager will be responsible for calculating, analyzing, documenting and assisting in the submission of all mandated product and pricing data for all federal and state government pricing programs. This role will support the implementation, changes to and management of pricing systems to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of Average Selling Price (ASP), Best Price (BP), Average Manufacturing Price (AMP), Unit Rebate Amount (URA), Public Health Service (PHS), Non-Federal AMP (Non-FAMP), Federal Ceiling Price (FCP), Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), and Industrial Funding Fee (IFF). Ensure government compliance for the Veterans Administration (VA). Assist team as needed to ensure Tricare, Medicare Part D and Medicaid rebate payments are paid accurately and timely.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Accountable for executing, analyzing, documenting and the submission of all mandated product and pricing obligations for all federal and state government pricing programs in accordance with Grifols methodology, including: Medicaid (AMP, BP, URA, State Reporting), Medicare Part B (ASP), Office of Pharmacy Affairs (PHS), Veteran Affairs (NFAMP, IFF, ANFAMP, FCP, TRICARE), and State Formulary requirements.

  • Manages and monitors all government contract sales activities and other (Medicaid, PHS, VA) legislated rebate programs, ensuring adherence to all state and federal guidelines.

  • Create and submit Requests for Modifications to the VA. Determine FSS tracking customers and Most Favored Customer net prices. Monitor and report pricing violations of the VA Price Reduction Clause. Calculate quarterly and annual NFAMP for all Covered (Branded) drugs.

  • Monitor performance indicators, highlight trends and prepare monthly summaries of key operating issues. Creates and maintains trend analysis for Medicaid claims by state and program.

  • Responsible for the creation of Executive summary of results each month investigating and reporting outliers each period within a designated threshold. Analysis of government pricing results and provide insights to determine root cause variances.

  • Develop and maintain government reporting policies and SOP's consistent with state and federal price reporting regulations.

  • Ensure SOX compliance, provide support and assistance to audit initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with government programs' polices and guidelines.

  • Respond to all Government data requests.

  • Provide monthly trending of Gov’t pricing and rebates.

  • Assists Director with government pricing related strategy support and impact modeling for business partners.

  • Assists Director with ensuring accurate forecasting of government rebate liabilities to ensure product profitability.

  • Assists in managing and negotiating all federal contracts.

  • Responsible for providing supporting information for Financial Audits.

  • Provides support for commercial and government reimbursement issues.

Candidate should have deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs, 340B, State and Federal drug reimbursement protocol. Ability to work independently, without routine supervision. In-depth of complex federal regulations and widely diverse business strategies involving company products. Ability to understand the various inter-dependencies of pricing and financial analyses and a thorough understanding of various regulatory concepts applicable to government reporting. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and Flex suite of software programs, as well as COGNOS. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once. Strong analytical skills required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.

Typically requires 8 years of experience; preferably with 5 years in the a government pricing role. Experience working with 5i products and Model N Flex a plus.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
