Your mission will be:
Building and maintaining key relationships with scientific thought leaders and communicating relevant information from and to this group in close cooperation with local and global marketing groups.
Supporting product strategies aligned with business development plans or other areas of the company.
Leading the scientific support
You will cooperate with key stakeholders within Grifols, acting as the main source for Scientific information for sales forces internationally as well as liaising with marketing teams on a local and global level.
YOUR TASK AND RESPONSABILITIES
Build relationships with scientific thought leaders in one or more indications internationally
Manage scientific events like advisory boards or other scientific meetings (symposia or standalone meetings) independently, but in alignment with other functions.
Provide medical content for medical education programs for clinicians externally and internally as well as internal training programs to promote medical and scientific understanding of the products in the respective countries.
Attend international medical conferences on the respective disease areas and provides reports from these meetings for internal stakeholders.
Provide scientific responses to enquiries by internal and external customers.
Develop strategies for business growth with all cross-functional partners due to improved product positioning and/or expanded indications.
Collect and analyze from strategic point of view competitor medical/scientific information from different sources/departments and communicates to the appropriate internal functions and departments.
Contributes to scientific publications generated from Grifols projects or studies (including abstract writing or revision of manuscripts)
Assure the accuracy of the medical content of marketing materials. Medical function in the sign off process of marketing materials.
Responsible for the knowledge management in his/her respective area including revision of current literature updates, slide sets etc.
Select and writes summaries of relevant literature to support marketing and sales force groups in different countries.
Coordinate all requests for investigator sponsored research coming in from customers in Europe and ROW.
Communicate all such requests with the appropriate internal functions and directs follow up activities regarding approved protocols. These activities may include working on scientific publications regarding posters, abstracts and publications.
Cooperates closely with colleagues within the international medical affairs team (EU/ROW and US).
Support clinical affairs and market access functions with investigator and/or scientific thought leader contacts.
Provide medical input in the development of value dossiers or other materials requested for reimbursement/market access support.
WHO YOU ARE
You have an educational background in Science: Degree/Master in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy or similar, and PhD with advanced knowledge in the respective scientific field
Experience of 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, in Medical/Scientific affairs with pharma products/medicines aimed at Hospitals (Hospital Pharmacy)
Experience with pharma products/medicines aimed at Hospitals (Hospital Pharmacy)
Sound knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics
Scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research etc.)
You enjoy working in within a multicultural environment, and you have previous experience in a global role with a strong international exposure.
Used to work proactively, independently and highly responsibly
Proven strength on prioritizing and managing multiple tasks to drive performance and deliver quality results, always looking for high added value contribution for the organization.
Determined, ability to make decisions
Advanced communication and strong relation building skills
Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
Availability and willingness to travel (30%)
