The Medical Affairs team plays a pivotal role in bridging science and healthcare. They provide scientific expertise and clinical insights for the development, approval, and post-marketing support of Grifols' therapies. Medical Affairs professionals collaborate with key stakeholders, including physicians and researchers, to ensure the safe and effective use of products and contribute to improved patient outcomes through research studies to support evidence-based decision making and empowering physicians and stakeholders with the latest knowledge.
The Health Economics team focuses on assessing the value and cost-effectiveness of Grifols' therapies. They conduct health economic analyses, outcomes research, and real-world evidence studies to demonstrate the clinical and economic benefits of treatments. Health Economics professionals work closely with internal and external stakeholders to inform healthcare decision-making and optimize patient access to therapies.
The Publications team is responsible for developing and disseminating scientific and medical publications. They collaborate with internal and external authors to generate manuscripts, abstracts, and posters that contribute to the scientific knowledge base. Publication’s professionals ensure compliance with publication guidelines, manage the review process, and support the timely and accurate communication of clinical data.
The Knowledge Services team facilitates the generation, organization, and dissemination of medical and scientific knowledge within Grifols. They provide support in literature research, data analysis, and medical information management. Knowledge Services professionals contribute to the development of medical education materials, medical information databases, and scientific communication strategies.

Transparency in Coverage
Under the "Transparency in Coverage" rule established by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, Grifols is required, effective July 1, 2022, to make extensive price transparency disclosures to the public in three machine-readable files that are updated monthly. The disclosures must show in-network provider negotiated rates, historical out-of-network allowed amounts and drug pricing information. The purpose of publicly disclosing this information is to help individuals understand health care pricing and potentially dampen the rise in health care spending.
